Our Water Management program provides year-round care for ponds and lakes across Oklahoma. Licensed applicators visit regularly to treat and control algae, duckweed, watermeal, and other nuisance aquatic weeds before they become major problems. All products we use are EPA-approved, ensuring safe and effective results for your water and surrounding environment. By taking a proactive approach, we keep your water clear, balanced, and healthy—protecting both its appearance and long-term ecosystem.

What We Treat
Oklahoma’s warm climate and nutrient-rich ponds create ideal conditions for unwanted growth. Our licensed applicators are trained to identify and control a wide range of aquatic problems of 17 invasive aquatic nuisance weeds, including:
-
Algae blooms
-
Duckweed and watermeal
-
Cattails and other nuisance weeds
-
Filamentous growth
Every treatment plan is customized to your pond’s unique conditions using EPA-approved aquatic products applied safely and effectively.
Our Process
We take a simple, proven approach to protecting your water:
-
Assessment: Our team evaluates your pond’s condition, size, and problem areas to determine the best management strategy.
-
Treatment Plan: We apply targeted treatments using safe, EPA-approved products designed for long-term control.
-
Ongoing Care: Regular visits ensure continued clarity, balance, and healthy aquatic life through every season.
Why Ongoing Management Matters
Healthy ponds require consistent attention. Seasonal temperature shifts, heavy rains, and nutrient runoff can quickly lead to algae blooms and weed outbreaks. Our ongoing management program prevents these issues before they start, saving you time and maintaining the beauty and function of your pond year-round.
Fountains & Aeration Systems
Our Fountains and Aeration Division focuses on improving both the health and appearance of your pond or lake. While decorative fountains create surface movement and add a striking visual display, they only circulate the upper layer of water. Aeration systems, on the other hand, push air from the pond bottom to the surface—improving oxygen levels, reducing algae, and preventing stagnant conditions throughout the entire water column. Whether you’re adding a new system or maintaining an existing one, TurnPro Aquatics provides professional installation, service, and repair to keep your pond clear, balanced, and beautiful year-round.

Aeration
An aeration system is the heart of a healthy pond. It works by using a quiet on-shore compressor that pushes air through weighted airline down to diffuser heads placed on the pond bottom. These diffusers release fine bubbles that rise to the surface, carrying oxygen-rich water upward and creating continuous circulation throughout the entire pond.
This process prevents stratification, where ponds separate into warm, oxygen-poor bottom layers and cooler top layers. By mixing the water from top to bottom, aeration keeps oxygen levels stable, improves clarity, and supports beneficial bacteria that naturally break down organic muck.
Running 24 hours a day, a properly sized aeration system typically turns the entire pond over once daily, keeping the water fresh, clear, and balanced year-round. The result is a cleaner pond, fewer algae problems, and a healthier environment for fish and aquatic life.
Power Needs: Aeration systems operate on standard 115V power and require a nearby outlet for the compressor unit. Power can be run through a dedicated circuit or existing landscape outlet, depending on site setup and distance from the pond.
Fountains
Decorative fountains add movement, sound, and beauty to any pond or lake. Their striking spray patterns and optional lighting create a visual centerpiece that enhances curb appeal and provides a relaxing, resort-like atmosphere. Beyond their appearance, fountains play a role in surface water circulation—helping to improve oxygen exchange and prevent floating debris from accumulating.
It’s important to note, however, that fountains only circulate the upper layer of water. They do not mix or oxygenate the deeper portions of the pond the way a bottom-diffused aeration system does. For this reason, many pond owners choose to pair a fountain with aeration to achieve both aesthetic and functional benefits.
Power Needs: Fountains typically operate on standard 115V or 230V power depending on size and horsepower. Each installation includes a control panel for timer operation, lighting options, and safety protection. TurnPro Aquatics proudly installs our preferred line of high-quality fountains and provides maintenance and service for all major brands.
Fountains vs. Aeration
Fountains and aeration systems both move water, but they serve very different purposes.
Fountains circulate and aerate only the top few feet of water while providing a beautiful, decorative spray pattern. They enhance the visual appeal of a pond and add a relaxing sound of moving water, but they do little to mix or oxygenate the deeper layers below the surface.
Aeration systems, on the other hand, work from the bottom up. Air is pushed through diffusers on the pond bottom, creating thousands of fine bubbles that rise and carry oxygen-rich water throughout the entire pond. This process helps eliminate stagnation, reduce algae growth, break down organic muck, and create a healthier environment for fish and plants.
For the best results, many ponds benefit from using both systems together—a fountain for beauty and surface circulation, and an aeration system for full water quality improvement and long-term balance.

Pond Repair Projects
Our Projects (Pond Repair) Division handles a wide range of restoration and structural repair work to keep ponds performing their best. From applying pond sealant to stop leaks, to dredging built-up sediment and restoring depth, our team provides complete solutions for aging or damaged ponds. We also perform spillway repairs, tree removal, and foam injections to fill hidden voids or leaks within concrete structures. Each project is carefully planned to restore stability, improve function, and extend the lifespan of your pond or lake. Whether it’s small-scale maintenance or a full restoration, TurnPro Aquatics delivers dependable results backed by years of hands-on experience.

Pond Sealant
Our pond sealant is a two-part granular material designed to seal leaks naturally without draining the pond or disturbing aquatic life. When applied to the surface, it spreads across the water and sinks to the bottom, where it binds with the soil to form a flexible, long-lasting seal. This product works effectively in sandy, gravelly, or porous soils and is safe for fish, wildlife, and livestock.
Spillway Repair
A properly functioning spillway is essential for maintaining safe water levels and preventing overflow damage. At TurnPro Aquatics, we generally recommend building ponds with a natural earthen spillway whenever possible. Natural spillways allow water to pass over a graded, grass-covered section of the dam, reducing long-term maintenance and the risk of cracking or shifting that can occur with concrete.
For added stability and erosion protection, we often reinforce earthen spillways with Flexamat, a permanent, flexible concrete matting system that anchors vegetation while preventing washouts during heavy rain events. This solution combines the strength of concrete with the natural look and function of a grass spillway—offering long-term protection with minimal maintenance.
While concrete spillways may seem durable, they can present major issues if not properly constructed—such as leaks forming along seams, erosion beneath the slab, or separation between the concrete and soil that leads to costly structural failure. For this reason, we only recommend concrete spillways in specific situations, such as high-flow areas or ponds with limited space for natural overflow.
When concrete is necessary, our team ensures proper compaction, slope, and drainage during repairs or rebuilds to prevent future problems. Whether restoring a natural spillway or repairing an existing concrete structure, TurnPro Aquatics focuses on long-term stability, safe water management, and dependable results.

Dredging & Dirt Work
Dredging and dirt work are a key part of our Pond Repair Projects. Over time, ponds naturally collect sediment, reducing depth and overall water quality. Our dredging process removes this buildup safely and efficiently, restoring depth, improving water circulation, and extending the lifespan of the pond.
In addition to dredging, our team handles general dirt work, including pond reshaping, dam repairs, and even full pond construction. Whether we’re restoring an existing pond or developing a new one from the ground up, we focus on proper grading, compaction, and drainage to ensure long-term stability. Every project is carried out with precision and care to preserve the natural beauty of the landscape while improving the pond’s function and longevity.

Erosion Control- ShoreSOX

Our ShoreSOX installations provide a natural, long-lasting solution for shoreline stabilization and erosion control. The system uses a high-strength mesh sleeve that’s hydraulically filled with sand, creating a durable barrier that supports vegetation growth and blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. Once installed, we cover each ShoreSOX section with fresh sod, giving the bank an instant, finished look while allowing the root system to anchor deep into the sand-filled base. This combination of structure and vegetation delivers stability and erosion protection without sacrificing the natural beauty of your pond.
Unlike traditional riprap or hardscape methods, ShoreSOX reinforces the shoreline while maintaining a clean, natural appearance and encouraging long-term plant growth. TurnPro Aquatics uses this system to restore eroded banks, prevent future washouts, and protect pond edges from wave and storm damage—all with a professional finish designed to last for decades.

Why We Avoid Other Retaining Options
Riprap (Rock Shoreline):
-
Can shift or settle over time, creating uneven edges and tripping hazards
-
Difficult to mow or maintain along the shoreline
-
Traps weeds, debris, and algae between rocks
-
Provides little root structure or natural vegetation growth
-
Creates a rough, industrial look rather than a clean, natural finish
Concrete Retaining Walls:
-
Often fail over time due to cracking, separation, or collapse from water pressure
-
Reflect wave energy instead of absorbing it, causing erosion elsewhere
-
Require precise compaction and drainage—issues that many older ponds lack
-
Create a hard, unnatural edge that contrasts with the pond’s environment
Railroad Ties and Timber Walls:
-
Quickly rot, warp, or deteriorate when exposed to moisture
-
Can leach harmful chemicals like creosote into the water
-
Require frequent maintenance and replacement
-
Offer little long-term stability or environmental benefit

Fish Stocking

TurnPro Aquatics offers professional fish stocking services to help create and maintain a balanced, thriving pond ecosystem. We coordinate two stocking events each year—one in the spring and one in the fall—to give new fish the best opportunity to establish and grow. Our programs include species selection, delivery, and distribution designed to match your pond’s size and management goals. In addition to stocking, we also provide fish habitat installation, adding structure and cover that supports baitfish and encourages healthy feeding patterns for sport fish. Whether you’re building a new pond or enhancing an existing one, our stocking and habitat services are designed to keep your fish population healthy for years to come.

-
Largemouth Bass – The backbone of most sport-fishing ponds; helps control smaller fish populations and promotes balance.
-
Bluegill – A key forage species that reproduces regularly and provides a steady food source for bass.
-
Channel Catfish – Hardy, fast-growing fish that add great angling variety and adapt well to most ponds.
-
Crappie – A popular game fish but one that requires careful management; without proper predator balance, crappie can overpopulate quickly and stunt in size. We help evaluate when and how to stock crappie safely to maintain a healthy system.
